Module 1: Microsoft Dynamics NAV Architecture
This chapter focuses on the architecture of Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

Module 2: Requirements
Before you begin installing and configuring Microsoft Dynamics NAV, you need to consider the operating system, server requirements and any other software requirements.

Module 3: Microsoft Navision Classic Client Installation
This chapter focuses on how to install, maintain, and remove Microsoft Navision single-users and clients. This chapter also describes the basic operations involved in working with a database, and license information.

Module 4: Microsoft Navision Native Database Server Option
This chapter discusses the Microsoft Navision database server. You are shown how to run more than one server. The chapter reviews system setup options and some basic operations involved in working with a database.

Module 5: Microsoft Navision SQL Server Option
This chapter describes how to install Microsoft SQL Server. You are shown the system defaults and how to customize according to customer need. The chapter discusses license files and security and user setup options.

Module 6: RoleTailored Client Installation
This module discusses the installation of the RoleTailored Client in a variety of configurations.

Module 7: RoleTailored Client Personalization
This chapter discusses personalization in the RoleTailored client. Learn how the Role Center is tailored to the user's role in the company.

Module 8: Database Server
This chapter describes how to install Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 Database Server. You are also shown the Database Server Configuration Settings.

Module 9: Deployment
This module describes the process of deploying software in Microsoft Windows Server 2003.

Module 10: Optimization and Troubleshooting
This module presents the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 operating environment. The focus is on Optimizing the Database, troubleshooting database and deployment performance issues.

Module 11: Microsoft Navision Application Server (NAS)
This module describes how to install and maintain Microsoft Navision Application Server, which handles the exchange of documents between Microsoft Navision and external services, such as a CRM or eCommerce products.

Module 12: Microsoft Navision ODBC Driver
This module describes the terminology used in ODBC (Open Database Connectivity). It walks you through the installation process of ODBC and the configuration. This chapter includes the technical documents and a SQL statement reference guide.

Module 13: Microsoft Navision Security
This module describes the security systems that protect your database and the information that it contains from being accessed by unauthorized people. It must also allow you to specify what the authorized users are allowed to do in the database -based on the permissions.
