PowerShell MasterClass - Advanced Training

The PowerShell Master Class Advanced Lab is aimed at those who know the basics of PowerShell and want to learn more! The first day focuses on reviewing at the basics and diving deeper in those topics. Day Two looks at advanced scripting topics, including building manifest modules and working more with objects. Day three looks at the Cmdlets added into Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7, plus working with both XML and SQL Server.

The lab, as well as the lab material, is entirely in English.

Day 1 - The Basics

Reviewing the Basics - a quick review the key elements of PowerShell plus installation, setup, and profiles
Advanced Formatting - More on using Hash tables, .NET Format Strings and Display XML
Advanced Remoting - Reviewing the basics of remoting, plus working with implicit remoting

Day 2 - Diving Deep in to Scripting

Advanced Scripting Concepts - Looking at less commonly used scripting features
Customising the ISE - looks at how you can customise the ISE and boost your productivity
Advanced Modules - managing PowerShell in the enterprise
Advanced Objects - creating your own objects, using Format XML to format your objects by default, then using the ETS and Type XML to extend existing objects.

Day 3 - Practical PowerShell

PowerShell and Windows Client/Server - how you can use built in PowerShell cmdlets
XML - using PowerShell's built in XML handling
SQL - using PowerShell and SQL
