Android is a software platform and operating system for mobile devices developed by Google and later the Open Handset Alliance. It is based on the Linux kernel and allows developers to write managed code in a Java-like language that utilizes Google-developed Java libraries.
Objectives:
Android Multimedia and Networking course aims to give practical knowledge on applications that are rich on graphics and sound and are communicating to internet and to other mobile phones. There are several hands-on exercises for practical experience on items discussed.
Audience:
Course is targeted for developers willing to make sophisticated applications that use graphics, sound, and networking capabilities of Android platform. Basic understanding of Android platform, programming tools and Java that can be gained e.g. on Programming Essentials for Android course.
